There is market value attached to most all the qualities of brown diamonds. Like near colorless stones, the elements of value are similar plus a factor for the beauty of the color. Some brown diamonds are very inexpensive and they can also be quite costly. It is all quality related.

Browns came into favor because of the low price points compared to whites.

Many of the Browns come from the Argle Mines in Australia.

Some very light brows will face more white than brown if cut propoerly.

TopTopLiteBrown often faces better than color-comparable white diamonds, especially in H-J colors. There used to be a big diconnect between the valus, but now they are close to the same market value.

Brown diamonds are available in abundance and thus don't cost as much as the rare ones. But there are indeed other factors of diamonds that determine its price. A light brown colored diamond, more often called the champagne color, will be costlier than a not so good looking brown diamond!
