Hi Joselyn,

What CAD software do you use and what CAM solutions do you provide? Can you post some images of your work?

Thanks,

DrJ

DrJ,

Sorry to get back to you so late, I was out of town this past week on a trade show.

We use Matrix in the store. At this time we are still outsourcing our mill/grow jobs, but are looking into buying a mill within the next 3-4 months.

I'll see about getting some pics up here in the next couple days :)

Can you please share with me which mill you guys decided on and why?

Is it performing up to expectations?

Oh man, I'm jealous :) I want one of those bad boys.

Brian,

As soon as I know which mill we're getting, I'll have my boss post on here and tell you his reasoning why. We haven't purchased it yet as we are just about to have a huge sale to liquidate a bunch of inventory in order to be able to afford all the cad/cam toys we want :p

Hi Joselyn,

Thanks, it is nice to hear other jewelers ideas and opinions on things like this.

I PMd Brian, but thought you might want to see just how sexy our mill is..

I can't wait to come into work everyday :D

We use our mill for grunt work primarily.. We have an amazing wax carver here so I use the mill to rough out things for him so he can have fun doing to cool bits by hand and not worry about all of the major blocking out, etc.. It really does work out well for us to use the team appraoch to most of the things we do here..
