Neil Lane announced yesterday (Tuesday) that the Hershey Company has commissioned him to create a special Hershey's Kisses brooch to mark the upcoming 100 year anniversary of the chocolate candy. Lane's seven carat brooch, set with 755 diamonds is worth more than $25,000.
Lane's creation is an exact replica of the classic Hershey's Kisses chocolate including the famous plume with a special 100th anniversary message inscribed on the inside of the brooch.
The diamond chocolate will make its debut on the red carpet Sunday, August 27 at the 58th Annual Primetime Emmy(TM) Awards. It will be auctioned off immediately following the Awards by the foundation, "Clothes Off Our Back" with 100 percent of the proceeds donated to children's charities.
The auction will take place on www.clothesoffourback.org starting Monday, August 28th and will remain online until 6:00 p.m. PDT of September 15th.
