Can anyone give me their advice on a radiant cut solitaire? Im still looking and i have found a 1.56 radiant cut solitaire...its got a tinge of color to it in certain light. The color grade is a J i believe. I had never saw one before.

What color metal will the ring be.
J color doesn't look so good in white metal, as you said it has a tinge of yellow, but it does keep the price down.

It would set in a yellow gold band. I have a .98 marquise thats G color. BUT this individual would trade with me...and the radiant is so much larger.

Henry Grossbard developed the Radiant Cut Diamond in 1976 he just passed away a few weeks ago after being hit by a car in New York.
The Radiant is a modified or combination cut - a brilliant cut square or rectangle shaped diamond with clipped-off corners like the emerald cut. It has the outline of the emerald cut diamond with the brilliance and sparkle of the round diamond.
A radiant cut with a length to width ratio of less than or equal to 1.05:1 will appear square to the observer. While a squarer radiant-cut diamond is the preference of many, some people prefer a slightly rectangular diamond.
You can get the length to width ratio by dividing the length by the width.
Watch out for stones that are too deep. Make sure the diamond you consider has a depth percentage of 75% or less so you get a big, bright face up appearance.

Thanks Greg,
I appreciate the information and also the pictures. I was kinda concerned about the J-K color. But with it being in yellow gold , maybe it will help. I am taken in by it because of it large appearence!!!
