Will large diamonds drop in price? Found this article that is an interesting read......

Scientists have found a way to manufacture 10-carat half-inch thick colorless diamonds.
Manufactured diamonds--which some believe could play a large part in the industrial and jewelry market--are generally produced through the so-called high pressure/high temperature (HPHT) method, similar to how diamonds are created in nature.
The new technique grows 10 carats diamonds at an average of 0.1mm per hour.

What do you think the future of large diamonds is?

Very good article. Thanks for posting this one. I was amazed at how quickly they could creat really large diamonds. If these were to go into mass production everyone would be able to own a great big diamond.

Would these be considered cz's? Or would they be considered lab created? Would these be easily id'd as not natural?

These would be considered Lab Created Diamonds (Or Synthetic Diamonds) as CZ's have their own set of properties and are completely different creatures than Diamonds.

While there are identifying marks in these Lab Created Diamonds, they are still very difficult to identify. I would imagine for the first lab created diamond jewelers see, they'll be a chore to identify as synthetic just because we don't see them everyday.
