I've seen these watches in several stores. They seem very popular for a mid range watch. Are they reliable watches? Are these american made watches?

I've had a Citizen Eco drive (solar powered) for years and I've never had a problem, and its great to never have to change the battery...

I have an air force Citizen watch with official Blue Angels logo for 12 years and it never gave me problem and it still looks new after years of wearing. More important, it is still DEADLY accurate in showing time.

Citizen watches are excellent watches and the come in many styles and functionalities.
I believe they are Japanese movements, unless something has changed in the last 15 years.
Good price points. Can usually get on sale at most department stores and chain stores.

Nice mid-range watches.
Japanese manufacture using Miyota movements for the most part--they may some others I don't know about. Like Seiko, you can find them everywhere.

I am wearing 30 year old Seiko watch in mint condition for 30 years without problem and I guess Japanese watches are not inferiror.

No.
They are, however, inferior when used against Godzilla when initially defending Tokyo.
We refer to this as the TOHO syndrome. ;)

The more that I research this line the more that I like them. I found out that citizen had the first "solar watch" in 1976.
We all know that Mothra kicked godzilla's scaled tail..... with the assist of those singing tiny twin fairies.
