Pictures can be deceiving

Below I have attached 2 pictures of the same diamond. One I enhanced to remove the inclusions using Adobe Photoshop.

If you are buying online with nothing more than a piece of paper and a sellers word, you could get burned. Make sure you see it before buying and have a third party like a local appraiser look at the stone.

There are so many ways for information, data and photos to be manipulated online. In the above case it took the person tryng to sell this diamond a lot of time and effort to manipulate the facts. In my book I'd consider this to be retail fraud.

Its amazng how the touched up diamond appears so much better. The person purchasing this diamond would probably be too embaressed to send it back once they got it.

Notice how clean the same diamond looks with a little tweaking.

It's a shame these type of things happen. Makes the good guys look bad also.
