View Full Version : Rough Diamonds
Any one know anything about Rough Diamonds. I was told that buying a rough diamonds like this site (removed) and have it cut and polish will save a lot of $$$$.

Dear Moab,
Don't do it. For people who fully understand both the rough diamond market and the cutting business, who have a destination market to sell their products and who are willing to invest serious money it is possible to make several percent profit in this business. If any of these elements are missing, this profit quickly evaporates and turns to a loss. It?s a tough business and for consumers this is NEVER a financially sound decision. Here?s (www.coloradolottery.com) a better site for investing your money with considerably better chances of a favorable return. I have personally invested here.
Take the profits and buy a finished diamond from a responsible dealer.

This forum is meant to be an source of information to the consumer. We have no problem with tasteful self promotion within reason.
What is not acceptable is logging on pretending to be a consumer and talking about that "great site" you stumbled across which in fact is your own.
Please use common sense and honesty when you post or it will be removed.

Hi moab,
Putting the spam aside.
Can you explain to me how this proposition (presumably for a consumer to buy rough diamonds) could be anything other than a scam?
