I am looking for a nice watch for my son. He really wouldn't do well with a large multi task watch that is so popular today because he has slender arms. I'd like to find a smaller built watch that doesn't look like a ladies watch.

I don't want anything too high end, this would be his first nice piece of jewelry and my budget just won't allow. Can someone suggest a brand of watch that might fit his needs and my budget? I'd like to stay below $700.00

Check out brands like Swiss Army, Seiko, and Tag heuer(pronounced hoy-er) has the F1 series thats pretty affordable.

You might try Movado. Nice styles in that price range. Not too bulky.
You may also want to look at Tissot, high tech look at very affordable prices.

I can recommend where to get if you find a style you like.
Good luck

Oris & Fortis are very strong contenders in that price range. Well made and respected. They are not the here today and gone tomorrow fashion watches. ;)

I agree with the above poster who said Tag Heure. They are nice watches and begin to become high end. I'd like to dismiss Seiko and Swiss Army. I dislike most of their watches and nothing intriguing about them.

For a little under 700 you can get some amazing Citizens and Bulovas of course.
My first nice watch was a Bulova mariner I bought for about 400usd at 18.

I now have a Breitling COLT GMT but I really really want a Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control. Hell I think I'll treat myself this Christmas!!
